Baptism is the Gateway to all other sacraments. You must be baptized in order to receive First Eucharist, Reconciliation, Confirmation, Matrimony and Holy Orders. It is required for parents and godparents to have instruction in the sacrament of Baptism. Instruction is offered once a month virtually using Zoom. If you have attended Baptismal instruction within the prior three years you do not have to attend again.
There is no cost for the baptism. However, a free-will offering is a way of showing appreciation and support for St. Joseph Parish. If you wish to make a donation, please make your check payable to St. Joseph Parish and give to the Deacon or Priest who is presiding at the Baptism.2025 | Saturdays | Time |

Godparents play an important role in the spiritual life of the child. They should have the time, willingness and faith to live out this sacred vocation. They should be someone special to the child who will set an example of Christian living, help teach the Catholic faith, and instill a lifelong relationship of prayer, faith sharing, and love. Specific requirements for godparents:
There may be one or two godparents and at least one must be Catholic. If the other person is not Catholic but is a baptized Christian of another denomination, he or she may still participate in the Baptismal rite. The person would be referred to as a “Christian Witness” on the Baptismal record instead of godparent. The expectation is that a Christian Witness believes in the divinity and humanity of our Lord Jesus Christ and will be a Christian role model for the child. There can be only one Christian Witness.
