Beginning in the family, faith formation is a life-long endeavor for Catholics. We can always learn to know and love our God more and more as we grow through childhood and into adulthood. We encourage families to begin teaching children about their faith as soon as possible.
At Saint Joseph Parish, our formal faith formation programs supplement the learning already done at home. Children are invited to register with us starting in kindergarten and continue in the program through reception of the sacrament of Confirmation.
Our goal is that each child and teen throughout our parish will deepen their personal relationship with God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit while understanding the roles each of us play as members of the Body of Christ. We hope to impart knowledge and understanding of the Church through prayer, development of faith, Scripture, sacramental preparation, Christian service projects, and more.
As Catholics, the most important thing we do is come together as a community to worship, thank God for His many blessings, and receive Holy Communion. We encourage all families to attend Mass together every Sunday and bear witness to our children the importance of the Eucharist.
