WINGS is a ministry of enrichment for women of all ages who seek to deepen their faith and grow in their relationship with God and one another. Through speaker presentations, discussion, and prayer, WINGS encourages its members to become aware of their unique spiritual gifts so as to benefit the wider community.
WINGS consists of three 6-week seasons – one each in the fall, winter, and spring – and meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:45 to 11:30 a.m. in the Linse Room in the lower church.
A typical WINGS meeting during the fall and spring seasons includes opening prayer, a large group presentation by a speaker, small group sharing, and closing prayer and petitions. Recognizing that God speaks in the ongoing stories of people’s lives, WINGS finds that small group sharing after the speaker presentation is a meaningful way for participants to share ideas about the topic of the morning, to form bonds of friendship, and to discern the movement of God in their lives.
All women are welcome – participants come from several different parishes in the area – and women participate as often as their schedule allows, whether weekly or once each season. All women are welcome to join us at any time!
